Yugoslavian model of socialism as an inspiration for economic reforms in the 60's years of the 20th century in NDR, ČSSR and Hungary
Uxa, Šimon ; Kocian, Jiří (advisor) ; Polášek, Martin (referee)
This dissertation - The Yugoslavian model of Socialism as possible inspiration for economic reforms of the sixties in the German Democratic Republic, Czechoslovakia and Hungary - deals with the topic of creating certain modifications and specific features of the economic systems within the Eastern Bloc. The so called Yugoslavian experiment, which had developed in the Balcan state from the times of the Soviet-Yugoslavian rift of the late forties of last century, was, in fact, considered to be the only alternative to the predominant, directively centralized Soviet model for several years. It was in the sixties when many Eastern Bloc states, which practically hitherto copied the Soviet economic model, attempted to implement economic reforms which would assisst in eliminating disadvantages of the current economic system, and thus to stabilize and streamline the economic development. It is quite natural that for searching new possibilities and incentives, the Yugoslavian self-governing model represented one of potential inspiring ways how to reform the often nonfunctional economic systems. The main purpose of the dissertation is to show how the planners of economic reforms in the German Democratic Republic, Czechoslovakia and Hungary recfleted the Yugoslavian model tested in practice, and to which...

It also pays attention to the first and second five-year plan, their failures and the impact on the Czechoslovak economy. Finally goes to the very root causes, development and consequences of The Rozsypal's Reforms. The chosen topic is solved using the method description. The main objectives of this bachelor thesis are not only analyse and evaluate economic reforms, but also realize the first extensive efforts to change the economic situation. The Rozsypal's Reforms were not successful. The main obstacle to these efforts is the system of centrally planned economy itself.

The economic context of disintegration of the Czechoslovak Federation in 1990 - 1992
Hradilová, Petra ; Szobi, Pavel (advisor) ; Tajovský, Ladislav (referee)
My bachelor thesis evaluates the split of the Czech and Slovak Federative Republic, from an economic point of view and is divided into three parts. The first part describes the function of the Czech-Slovak Federation in normalization years 1969 - 1989 and its subsequent disintegration. Bachelor thesis is focused not only on economic and economical development but also on social and political development, because exactly that one was in mentioned years an important determinant of economic development. The main part will analyze the development of Czech-Slovak Federation in 1990 - 1992. I evaluate mainly the complexity of mostly federal coexistence in a pluralistic democracy. I focus on the preparation and introduction of economic reforms, the voucher privatization and its acceptance by each of the different republics. I analyze the different impact of economic reforms on economic development and the main macroeconomic indicators in each of the republics. The last part follows the collapse of the federation and the subsequent necessary changes, such as the question of determining citizenship, issues of property division and the establishment and development of customs and monetary union. I also analyze the nature of cohabitation in Czechoslovakia in 1992. The aim of this work is to point out that the economic disparities between those two republics were not given by economic reform, and to show that these differences had an affect on the division of Czechoslovakia.

Kořeny a východiska československé ekonomické reformy v šedesátých letech 20. století
Hlavní část práce se zabývá možnostmi řešení krize v hospodářství, nejprve pomocí prohlubování a utužování socialistické ideologie, posléze ekonomickými reformami, zejména tzv. ?třetí cestou? Oty Šika (1963 ? 1968). Hlavní část práce bude věnována jejímu obsahu, průběžným diskuzím o její splnitelnosti a uplatnění v praxi. Závěr obsahuje omezující podmínky reformovaných návrhů. Proč se tyto reformy nepodařilo prosadit? Jaké zájmy mohly reformy překazit? Cílem práce je tyto otázky, co nejlépe a nejpřesněji, zodpovědět.
